Truck having electrical problems

GMC Sierra will lose power going down the road, all instrument panel will go off and door locks engage up and down multiple times. I changed the battery. My next options are:
175 Mega fuse
Negative cable
Positive cable
Ground wire from body to engine
Which would you focus on first?

Bad battery I would bet anything. I have a 2011 silverado and my truck started acting crazy. the heater was blowing in the middle of summer while the ac was on and few other things. Guy at the dealership said it is common. He said he saw the door locking thing just like you described, lights flashing among other things. Check the new battery it could be bad also. I had that happen to me before also.

You didn't specify year or miles but electrical problems are the beginning of the end.

My wife's car shut down once whilst driving due to a bad alternator. Did you check that?

I had a Jeep Wrangler and this same thing happened to me. I would have suggested battery 10/10 times until I saw you’ve changed the battery.
I would still stick a voltmeter or multimeter on the battery and check the voltage to make sure you’re getting 12V. It’s possible the new battery is bad too. Then, start the truck and make sure the alternator is showing 13-14V meaning it’s charging.
If that doesn’t tell you anything, I’ve got nothing.

99 times out of 100 its a grounding issue but also check main battery wire to starter isnt touching the headers and grounding out.
to check the ground, open hood, hook jumper cable from battery ground to solid metal spot on the engine, tuck cables away so they are safe and go drive around a few days, if that fixes it problem solved.
if that doesnt fix it then go trade it in on another truck, electrical daemons are the worst and its just not worth the time or effort chasing them all down

Alternator isn't the issue. I put a new battery in and it did the same thing within 20 minutes of the new battery being in. I'm thinking I'll start with the ground and move on. But with that being said if I crank down on the positive cable it start working again for a while. Sometimes weeks without any issue.

Check grounds. I'd also look for loose connections from the harnesses going through the firewall. Make sure they're clipped all of the way in and don't have water in them

My Avalanche started doing the random door locks thing and progressively got to the point it randomly wouldn't start.
Replaced battery cables (a pain in the arse and kinda pricey) and that didn't fix it. After a bunch of dicking around figured out it was the TCM (transmission control module). Power goes through that before it goes to the ECM.
Part wasn't that bad for price. Just finding the problem was a bitch.
The bad part is with it being random is when testing various components they may test good when in the end that is where the problem is.

To add, it also had the gauges drop to zero, shifted hard and the power was down. Ran fine but one had to give it more gas to get going.
eta-I'd suggest buying a used ECM and TCM from a place that will program them for your truck. Can get them reasonable and they are easy as pie to change. If it is either of those things it will save you a huge headache trying to chase down the problem.

$53 and it's 2 clips and 2 nuts plus the terminal connection. I don't think it's that big of a pain in the arse but I haven't done it yet.

Gonna be the battery, fuse, or ground

Sounds like the symptoms of my wife's mid-90's Cherokee - it would stall while merrily going down the road. Put it in neutral and it would restart and everything back to normal.
Does the motor die also?
Replaced the crankshaft position sensor and all was well from that point forward.

Motor losses power but doesn't die

Did you try turning it off and back on?

My dad has problems with his 05 Chevy doing this and it was a grounding issue and they changed the body control module and had to reflash it.

Possibly the regulator inside the alternator. It sounds like colts are going up and down randomly.
