I'm working in Stephenville, Texas right now and I survived a tornado here about a month and a half ago. Well the storm caused $9K in damages to my vehicle and I just picked it up from the shop last Thursday.

As many of you know, shite is supposed to get bad today here in Texas, Stephenville is in one of the really bad spots. The place where I'm staying when I'm here is just an open parking lot. No garage or nothing. I don't care about my shite inside or the house I'm in, but I don't want my truck to get fricked up again. What's my best move here? There aren't any roofs I can park it under either within walking distance (I don't know anyone here, meaning no once can give me a ride back and forth across the city.)

Any help would be appreciated.

just hang some bigger truck nuts on it. That'll solve everything.

Is there not a single parking ramp or friend with a garage you can find?

Why can't you move to another town until the worst of the tornado passes.

I assume you don't have insurance.

Actually a triplex that got survived the last storm. The apartment complex next to me didn't make it out so well since it's being bulldozed.

I did ask for that double-wide response though.

Guess I'll just park it under the awnings at sonic or something and say frick it.

Lol well if it wasn't for insurance I wouldn't have gotten it fixed the first time.

I just don't want to have to go another month without my freaking truck.

The thought never crossed your mind to drive to a secure structure? Your truck can move, right?

I'll periscope if things start to get dicey.

My truck moves, obviously. I just have nowhere I can really go. The only secure structures, which I assume you mean like a parking garage, are at the university here and you have to have a keycard to get into them.

I'd have to drive like 300 miles to avoid the storm completely.

Well in that case I'll do what someone above said and park it in a field.
