Truck floats started in New Orleans way before those parishes had parades...

I will say this... The truck floats back in the day were pretty awesome. Great designs with lots of animation...

Today's trucks are basically plastic coverings with pictures stapled to it...

I am not entirely sure why you think reason or logic will compell them to do anything.

Why start now, and why give them more ideas?

That’s not the point. The majority of these trucks and riders are from the surrounding parishes. There’s a handful of local schools and groups and for the most part these truck trash aren’t from around here

I guess they all came from Metairie because we have taken the kids every year and this year there were only about 50 total trucks between the two parades. It used to be 120-140. I was wondering what happened.

Every year we would leave as they came throwing their tons of recycled throws.

That mid city truck parade is terrible. I have wasted my time a couple of times on that shite. Mostly everything they throw is shite from other parades that they either caught themselves or bought on clearance sales from the previous year. My favorite are the floats that have to save their stuff for Canal street and they just ride down St Charles looking at everybody

So instead of banning, we could send them all to Jefferson Parish?

I read this as "more dangerous than that swamp rat (and friends because it is plural) from a couple of Christmases ago".
