I am just laying out facts, not getting into a party piss contest. Crime use to be much higher in the 60s, 70s, 80s and through the late 90s.
You know what party a lot of those mayors belonged to? If you think its that simple.. "If a democrat is head of a city there will be a lot more crime" there is literally numbers to prove that both parties who have been in control had a lot of crime under them. Its because its in fricking cities. Cities have always had lots of crime. Like in the 20s in Chicago, which were all white criminals.

It's hard to compare political parties from 30+ years ago much less 100. Democrats are definitely the only ones pushing the hug a thug policies in 2020.

Do you leave anything visible?
I leave nothing at all visible (no sunglasses, no umbrella, not even my phone charger).
I have been vigilant about it and so far successful. Might also help That my car is an old POS Carolla. My neighbors Mercedes was broken into last week.

Back when i had a soft top id leave the doors unlocked since they were useless anyway with a zipper a foot away. Thieves dont give a frick. Came out to a sliced open window panel 3 times and had to replace the entire soft top 2 times bc they would be extra Dickish and frick it up more somehow.

Buddy of mine who is a trial attorney at one of the downtown NOLA firms picked up his dry cleaning after leaving the office. He had a couple of suits and a half dozen dress shirts stolen from his car when he was having dinner at Upperline. He figures the replacement cost at about $3500.
