I saw the offending hose in a NOLA.com pic. It was definitely black. Not sure if was "fully semi-automatic", but I think the color alone is enough to classify it as an assault hose. A man is dead because of that hose.

I don't want to go into too much detail but I was once fond of prescription medication. Big Lee was a nice guy in person but man there was some creepy shite said about him by females.

Dear Near Genius,
I have no problem taking a position contrary to the majority opinion. I think his age and the alleged pattern of long term, ongoing harassment could serve as mitigating factors, especially if the shooter can be shown to have an organic condition that could have an affect on his judgment and behavior. Let's see how the case shakes out before we determine that I'm an idiot.
Do you remember the Gary Plauche case? Kidnapping and rape allegations were certainly much more serious than spraying your neighbor with a hose, but Plauche went to the airport, waited for Doucet's flight to arrive and then shot him in the head. I don't remember Plauche going to jail at all, but if he did, it wasn't for long.
