Might just be the GFS being the GFS but it brings something north from Venazuela and kinda megers it with a tropical wave moiving in form the central atlantic in about 5 days

It's a legit scenario. I wouldn't be surprised to see other models start picking it up at some point.
ETA: The Euro and Canadian just drive the energy in CA. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick up on a system getting farther north away from land.

past few runs it has had something in the southern gulf but model watching 10 days out is bad for the blood pressure.

I think earlier runs of the Euro Ensembles were picking up on it with it being little more north
