This is promising for Mayor Teedy's Hurricane Preparedness Plan. The S&WB is ready for their drainage plan to finally be unveiled publicly for the first time.

Anyone know the tiebreaker rules for gulf shores travel ball World Series this weekend?

Today and tomorrow are bracket days. You easily got all games in today and might get them in tomorrow. If not, team with fewest losses remaining in bracket play is champion.

Potential Tropical Cyclone 3. It's a name they give storms pre-depression, but within a timeframe where watches and warnings need to be issues.

Zack Fradella posted this and I feel it's the best explanation of what to expect yet.

TOUGH TOUGH FORECAST - look I try to tell it like it is and not just pass the information on. So right now here is our reality...a weak storm is coming...weak storms give us fits because the bust potential is always high. You get all these warnings and get told oh a storm is coming but a miss by a few miles means the difference between 10” of rain and 1”. Whether this comes in as Claudette or not, it doesn’t matter, rain is the problem. Look how sharp the cutoff will be too. From 5-10” in one swath to barely an inch in another. In the end many will say what storm after this? Others will get hit hard by heavy rainfall. Now some things I can say with confidence right now, you have to be east of center to get any impacts, winds will be gusty at times but not terrible, also the short duration of the onshore flow should limit coastal flooding. Be ready, then hope you are on the left side of that rain swath in the end.
