12z GFS track dumps a ton of rain on me after I've already had just over 4 inches of rain in the last 10 days.
Yeah, a lot of AL people have gotten a bunch of rain this month. I've had right at 7" since the 2nd, and you folks farther South and NW AL have had even more.

I don't like it. I know I'm in the minority, but I want summer to be hot and dry with just the occasional pop up shower. That cold front rds posted about earlier is anti what I want.

You’re not gonna find that in the Deep South.

If hurricanes and hand grenades were candy butts we’d all have a merry Christmas

Man you suck at this internet thing.
The internet was built for two things:
Nice titties and news on the weather.
I'm here for both. And if that makes me suck, then so be it.
So, we're looking better for fathers day not being a washout? I'm wanting to grill for the weekend for the family and I'm worried about the excessive rain.

It's pretty standard for summer in the Deep South to only have widely spaced afternoon storms. Although it seems like in recent years we've gone from widely spaced afternoon storms to much more numerous storms. I just don't want to be getting stormed on every day in the summer.

Just dropping in to say I hate this thread with a passion. Nothing personal. Just never means anything good for my house.

Am I allowed to come in here and say that I don’t think this early season thing will amount to much or is that still frowned upon? Models keep trending the rainfall accumulations downward slightly and this is appearing to be one that comes in and gets out relatively quickly compared to other slow moving systems.
Not trying to rain on the doom & gloom parade that a couple here are trying to run but just trying to bring some perspective to the conversation. Check out Zack Fradella’s post earlier.

What he's saying is true to an extent, but it also minimizes the impacts to everyone in "Eastern LA, MS, AL".
He said basically what I said in the last GFS post I made. On its face, it isn't likely to be a devastating storm. Taken with what some areas have already seen this month, it could very well have a real impact on areas that are prone to Flash Flooding.
It doesn't have to be widespread catastrophe to be a significant impact.
ETA: Posting model projections is not equal to "doom and gloom".

To be fair, his main audience is still central and swla, since he came from KPLC before heading to Nola.

True, but to be fair, there are people from all over the Southeast in this thread.

I'm just saying he has a bias still from there, especially with all that LC has gone through this year. Probably wants them to get a break.
But yeah I get what you mean.
