Rummy, if not for the great flood last year, would there be this level of concern?

No there wouldn't be.

There's always the outside chance of a storm like this stalling just right to cause a major flood, everyone around here is now extremely aware of that fact.

One thing they mentioned on the weather channel a bit ago is that if it moves far enough west it might decouple from that plume of tropical moisture.

My "pucker" factor has gone down a little after listening to Jay Grimes. I'm still a little concerned about it stalling but if it doesn't do that I don't think I'll have flooding problems like in August. I'm supposed to leave for the beach Thursday morning. Not to sure how that's all going to work. Looks like orange beach is projected to get a ton of rain so I'm wondering if there will be any flooding down there.

I'm already here bro. I'm posting from her giant garden tub full of bubbles. She's making me a grilled cheese sandwich with goldfish crackers.

I understand. I got about three feet back in August, so I understand the oversensitivity. There's no reason to expect flooding anything close to last summer. By this point in August, the best short range models had BR looking pretty much fricked. This time, most have our area under 5".

I'll put it like this, always have a plan in mind for that highly unlikely catastrophe scenario but don't stress yourself out over it. If this looks like it going to go tits up, you'll have time to act.
