I would rather my house flood than read the shite you put, the way you have it formatted.
It helps to read it in the robotic voice.

Is Baton Rouge fricked like August or nah?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 9:07 pm to chicano12
It's unlikely to produce that much rain for us.

Check the thread on the travel board. CuseTiger is your guy.
Prayers sent to guy whose house will flood because im too lazy to format a 67,546 character weather bulletin.

Couldn't hurt. 6PM will have a better chance of rain than 6AM

basically from that wall of text, the main concern is gonna be along the coast because of the persistant east winds piling up water and the fact that this system is so lob sided that even if it goes west there is so much moisture on the eastern side its possible for widespread rainfall totals of 10 inches+ so its very possible to put a lot of water in area rivers but it's hard to tell at this point because it all depends how much rain falls over southern Louisiana

Another shift west. Brings more rain to the BR/Lafayette area I assume.

The rain shield is coming.

So new orleans going to get the brunt of it I see...
Posted on 6/19/17 at 9:15 pm to chicano12
How is this looking for New Orleans?

So they say the max rain fall is possibly around 16". Which is far less than the August flooding, yeah?

Shouldn't that be Jefferson Davis Parish? Jefferson Parish is nowhere near the others.

East side of the storm is always the most rain filled and dangerous outside of the eyewall.

Not far less and certainly not a trivial amount, but you have to remember that August had both a little more rain and it was 20" over a wide swath.
Get that 16" over the entire Amite basin with the south wind pushing the water back, we might have ourselves a problem.

How so? What's the amite basin comprised of?

I apologize if this has already been answered, but when is the rain supposed to hit the LA coast?
