7-8 inches of rain through Friday evening in south central LA and near Toledo Bend, with the bulk of the rain coming between Wednesday evening and Friday evening.

You never know with these rainfall estimates, but you'd still like to seem them lower.

GFS actually has the heaviest rainfall totals in the FL Panhandle and SE AL. However, there are still some very heavy totals in Louisiana, as well.

Can I say something to all of you who think we gave a shite about your individual plans or travel itinerary?

We don't care. Take the information in this thread and make a safe decision. Like an adult.

Potential Tropical Cyclone Three will affect the area through at least mid-week. Tropical Storm Warning now in effect for Terrebonne Parish and much of coastal Southeast LA. Heavy rain continues to be the primary threat. Current forecast is 3-6" with potential for 10-15+ inches. Heaviest rain currently expected Wednesday and Thursday. Tides could rise 1-3 ft above normal with isolated areas reaching 4ft.

Residents and businesses should begin to take necessary actions to protect property. Areas outside of the Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District levee system in southern Terrebonne Parish should prepare for coastal flooding with tides 1-3 ft above normal with isolated areas reaching 4 ft above normal tides.

River projections are usually only done based on actual water that is on the ground. They do not predict where stages will be based on potential rain fall

I think they use a 12 or 24 hour rainfall prediction in the numbers, but that's not going to help right now regardless.

I was being lighthearted on my own situation. Would you like a picture of what I'm worried about? I'll walk downstairs real quick.

Ya see. My house is hanging over the river now. So if the river gets high and acts like it did last August, it is a very real possibility it falls in.
