Who is running this city ?

Thugs shooting up the streets in front of the PD HQ.
Thugs shooting innocents waiting at a train track.

Thugs shooting other thugs.

Thugs run this city. The Mayor and Chief will continue to bury their heads in the sand and nothing will change.

Good people will continue to leave the area, and those who are stuck will simply be afraid to go out at night..

How can this get better ? How can we improve things ?

It simply cannot and will not.
Seems hopeless & depressing...

This is a direct result of what happens when you elect the mentality/attitude of SWB along with a police chief that thinks just like she does. They don't care because it doesn't directly effect them

I don't think that it's they don't care, as much as it's that they are too p@ssy to confront the real issues directly, as doing such is verboten and thus they mollycoddle their voter base as to not alienate it.

yes, it does.

Was pointing out the fact that the link was misleading, and a more truthful link may have been something like:

link contains: "/brpd-respond-shooting-near-broadmoor-subdivision"

link contains: "/brpd-respond-shooting-near-police-hq"

etc.

The shooting was not near Sherwood and was misleading.

This isn’t surprising. I mean a hit occurred at the Mall of Louisiana entrance in the middle of the day during lunch rush hour.

No where is safe in br, and people should be taking precautions everywhere no matter where and when.

Wonder if Murphy Paul or SWB is gonna bring this obvious middle finger to the BRPD up or instead claim misinformation.

Used to be considered an upscale intersection. Damn I miss when Baton Rouge wasn’t being murdered.

Well the chief of police did warn all the gangbangers that he was focusing on certain areas.. they just picked an area that was not being watched closely

So the entire City Parish.
Got it.

Highly doubt BRPD will address the location and situation.

Neighbors are saying things like "well at least its just thugs shooting other thugs.."
Guess we will tell ourselves almost anything to feel just a little better about where we live, until we can get out.

I take your point, but don't necessarily see this as an 'obvious middle finger' to PD , as that is giving the thugs entirely too much credit - these shooters are incapable of understanding their surroundings and the consequence that may be associated with their actions.

In this case there will likely be no consequence which is why this sort of situation will continue to repeat.

Why? Go where? This happened on Airline not in the neighborhood. Broadmoor is statistically one of the safest neighborhoods in BR.

So I’m just curious where you think they might move in EBR Parish to avoid this kind of thing? Shenandoah? Southdowns? Over by Gardere. Inniswold? Off Perkins Road? Garden district? Magnolia Woods?

Similar (and worse) shite has happened within and near all of these areas.

This should have been the last straw..IF MP or SWB actually cared one iota about BR there should have been a press conference immediately called and they should have called out every thug in town and dared them to keep causing problems...but instead they will just choose to act like it didn't happen... completely unreal how incompetent the "leaders" are at this point
