Second, rent a medium sized excavator. Bring the dipper and boom in and tilt the bucket back and cradle the underside of the trunk with it, as close to the house as you can get. Try to lift up on the tree by swinging the dipper up
This will NEVER work out the way you think. Were the tree snapped, there is just about no way which way the tension is. I felled many trees and there are NO two alike.
Oh, that tree trunk is way over 8K. Would need a big excavator.

$2700 is fair. I’m paying $3500 for a crane to remove 2 trees out of my backyard in ATL

Better check your policy. Most homeowners policies have limitations on the maximum they’ll pay for tree removal
HO3 policies cover a reasonable cost to get a tree off of covered property and as someone pointed out an additional 500 on top of that for the debris removal.
As a company adjuster, I would pay that 2700 all day right now. After a CAT most companies won't bat an eye over that amount

Check the local churches. They might have crews doing it for free. I had one in the exact placement of this on my roof after Katrina and they cut it and rolled it off the house. Granted they didn’t haul off but they at least got it off the house so I could tarp it up.
ETA: Just saw the power lines comment. That might complicate things for non-professionals.

Anyone giving detailed instructions on removing that tree from their computer chair is probably not someone to listen to. That's a complicated removal and can only be assessed by someone actually on the ground.

Let them park their RV in the front yard and they will do it for free

2700 to not get your arse eaten up by a chainsaw or smashed by a tree sounds pretty fair to me
