Not gonna lie, I retired 4 years ago at the age of 50...for 2 weeks ?? and I was seriously considering it.
I am hoping for something a little more relaxing that will also allow me to do some part time consulting work this time.
Planning on this retirement sticking. ??

WFH consulting is honestly the best thing to do as a FIRE type of retiree.
Have you looked for some online gigs on websites like Upwork? Or anything else related to your experience.
Over the road stuff you are still going to have some stress with timelines, insurance, liability, etc. It’s generally not as easy as “just show up to X and pick this up and bring it back to Y whenever you can”

Transportation/delivery in the logistics field. Driving rv’s from dealers to customers, trucking(cdl and non cdl), mail/package/courier services.

I know a family in new orleans who are retired and do hotshot work... drive a Mercedes box truck with all the amenities....
$1600 per 8 hour drive... 1 day drive and they get to explore whatever city they bid on, for a weekend/ few days
Take shifts and do 16hrs for $3200... make bank
Basically paid to travel, with a few hundred in their pocket when they get back
They ain't hurting for money... pops just bought a shelby cobra replica

Car dealerships and car rental companies hire retirees to relocate vehicles. I talked to a couple of men doing relocation for Enterprise car rental.

Dealerships often keep a stable of retired dudes at the coffee machine who run cars and parts to other dealerships on an as-needed basis. I’m not kidding.
