Aren't you like 23 years old? Nice troll

You should probably start by discussing it with "your kid."

I need to just ask the HS coach if he can practice with them. Can’t hurt.

We’ll see how well he does, individually, at USYS Regionals this weekend. Their MS team is going to get killed, but he’ll play center mid against, likely, the best kid in each team (S Texas, NC, and Florida is who they drew). Helluva challenge.

Unfortunately, based on his post history, I don't think he is joking.

Some advice: Travel ball is make-believe world. HS ball is a reality check, and some parents aren’t ready for that so they take it out on the coach. Some of those parents have serious mental issues, which makes life miserable for the coaches, kids, and level-headed parents.

Be part of the solution, not the problem... your life (and your kid's life) will be better.

If your child is in a private school, have the checkbook ready for "extra's". In my experience it's pay to play.

Yeah, that’s why the private schools are dominate in sports. Because they take players who parents can pay extra instead of those with skill.

Only rarely do coaches at high school play daddy ball favorites.

If your kid is good enough he will be on the team. Period.

If he isn’t good enough to be the undeniable top talent in his high school team it is the End if the road any way.

Go get real good at Algebra and Calculus

he should start as a freshman in his core sport.
why?

You mean to tell me that a coach who is paid to win and likes to win would just say. Nahh to the best player in the Gaston household.

I am sure your boy is good. Let him go earn it. In a few years he will be on a job interview. Standing on his own two feet is past due

that's proving my point. It's no fun being the only good player

No, they're "dominate" in sports because they have the ability to offset the pay to play athletes with "scholarship" players.

I didn’t do all the way B), but I contacted the varsity coach and asked him if my 7th grade son can practice with the team.

I don’t think making opportunities for your kids is a bad thing, he still has to go out there and make of it what he can. We’ll see.
