If you hang out in the bathroom, you're going to smell shite. If you go to walkons on a home game day you're going to encounter belligerent fans. If that triggers you, you probably should avoid it. If you don't want your kids to hear the 'F' word, don't bring them to a fricking bar. Would you bring your family to the buffet at Larry Flint's for Sunday lunch and then come here and bitch about tits being out everywhere?

Ehhh, depends on the Walk-Ons location. The one near the dome, yeah I guess it would be expected. But the other locations are basically a locally owned chilis

I thought it was pretty clear we are talking about specific walkons in this thread.

Walk-On's is trashy but also pretty tame when it comes to being a "bar", I almost have trouble believing OP that such a large amount of people were repeatedly chanting frick tom brady

It was definitely the international Saints fanbase driving up those ratings and had absolutely nothing to do with the football universe tuning in to see TB12's first game. I'm sure the season long ratings for Saints games will continue to crush the rest of the league.

I might be mistaken but I believe the Saints usually do pretty good in the ratings and better than most small market teams.

NFL fans being trashy at a sports bar on Sunday afternoons during the NFL season?

Longtime Former season ticket holder here. Yes the level of trashiness has gotten higher over the years . But as most know every New Orleanian regardless of socio economic status has some good time trashiness in them. And there’s nothing wrong with that,it’s part of our culture to get a little loud and obnoxious when things are going our way. So if you still fully on the train and plan to go to Dome expect to see it.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - What is America’s number one hit television program today? Arguably, the New Orleans Saints games on sets across the New Orleans television market.

More than one-third of sets tuned into the four preseason games this year, according to numbers from the Nielsen Company and the National Football League.

quote:

A rating point is defined as one percent of all the houses in a television market. In New Orleans, each point represents roughly 6,240 households.

New Orleans Saints games in the home market averaged a 34.5 rating, according to Nielsen, far outstripping the roughly one-quarter of homes that watched in both Pittsburgh and Kansas City.

The Chargers, who moved from San Diego, now reside up the freeway in Los Angeles, the nation’s number two media market in size.

However, the Chargers drew a comparatively miniscule 2.8 rating, dead last among the league’s 32 teams.

The Saints even outdrew the Rams in total viewers during the preseason, roughly 215,000 households on average to 176,000 for the Rams in the L.A. market. The Saints rank 13th in the total number of viewers, an impressive number for a team hailing from market 50.

quote:

How football crazy is New Orleans? It ranks number one among NFL cities for preseason football TV ratings with over one-third of homes tuning into the games, according to the Nielsen Co. And check out this number. More households watched the four Saints preseason games than watched the Rams in L.A., the nation's second-largest TV market.

quote:

Giants games in New York, the nation’s largest market, drew only 42,000 more households than the Saints, according to Nielsen, and Jets games barely 12,000 more.

It’s important to note viewership is not measured in bars, restaurants or other venues away from home.

The Saints also outperform their counterparts in the other NFL South cities, where the games averaged under 140,000 total households.
