It's been many years since I last had a cigarette, and several since I've had a cigar, but at this point I say fire 'em up. To paraphrase both Tony Danza and Winston Churchill, I am not thinking 2060 is something for which it will be worth sticking around.

Had some dot Indian scream ‘Who Dat’ to me from way across Cosco yesterday while I was wearing a saints shirt. Dude had a super thick accent. My wife busted out laughing. She thinks Saints fans are brain dead.

Generalizing nfl fans as trashy. Something tells me you can’t stand die hard LSU fans who didn’t actually go to the university. Is this true?

You have some nerve calling anyone trashy with this diction.

Go to any US airport on a Sunday (pre Covid) and you’ll always see a Cowboys and a Steelers fan. Always. Especially larger hub airports like OHare and Atlanta.

Everyone, each individual boycotting the NFL is a snowflake.

Not sure "boycott" is really the word for what a lot of people are doing. I just don't enjoy the product on the field all that much anymore.

The rules about PI, roughing-the-whoever, etc. seem to have the players walking on eggshells the whole time. Wide-open free agency has diluted the team concept and turned much of the commentary towards money. The constant tug-of-war between outlandish celebrations and the rules that attempt to hew them in is tiresome on both sides.

I think that, for a lot of people, the politics are the last straw. Others may have already tuned out because of some of the other stuff I mentioned. It's not purely a matter of political angst that's making people walk away.

They dedicate a huge part of their lives to watching grown men play with a ball and hit each other.

When you think about it, is there any lower form of humanity?

Spin it however you want to make yourself feel better. Cancel culture and virtue signaling are equally as gross from both sides.

I'm not spinning anything, I'm just telling you my honest thought process. I still watch the Saints from time to time, mostly because of nostalgia for my childhood in New Orleans, but the fact is that things are less than what they one were. And the great unity that Saints football brought the city from 1987 until last year has been destroyed. You can't blame and ridicule Terry from Gretnehan burning his jersey for that, though you seem to want to do that. He's just a victim of larger trends.

You went to a sports bar, on a Sunday during football season. But you're complaining about there being football fans there.

You're a special kind of stupid aren't you?
