I have a friend that works there. You could say she’s extremely left-leaning. I’m curious her thoughts on this, but not curious enough to open that can o’ worms with her.

Consider this crazy thought - NIKE is sponsoring this employee to do this.

So, how do you counteract this ploy?

Thank you for the nice message QT. Back in the 80’s/90’s/00’s The only times you’d really ever see it, was on TV with Geraldo or Jerry, when it was sensationalized. Most T-persons back then went super stealth. The only way the medical community let people transition back then, was if they “passed” right off the bat, before hormones and the like. The “gate-keeping” by psychologists and medical personnel was incredibly strict.

I actually see a good bit of trans persons here in the PNW, so no one really bats an eye in these parts.

I do know a person who has kinda made a transition but they are like 60 years old.

Roger,
You see far more biological teen girls expressing themselves with gender or come out earlier as trans or gay, and more so at such an early age. Biological males tend to not transition or come out until a much older age. My wife sponsors an LGBTQ group at here high school and of the dozen or so students in the club, only one is male. This is over the last two year or so.

I do worry about this. Makes one come across as a bigot though sadly.

It seems for a guy it would be so much tougher. I can't even imagine really.

It's truth

Disaffected kids are embracing these alternate genders but it seems more of a phase of androgyny. Sort of a group to belong to.

I consider there to be a difference between real transgender, and disaffected kids going by "they" and wearing unisex clothing. It's the goth culture of the day.

It can be tougher physically sure. But society is much more accepting of gay women and transmen IMO, It’s just the way it is right now. I’m fortunate my family is accepting and supportive. My wife and sons are incredible. But I’m one of the lucky ones, there’s so many of us out there that don’t have those support systems.

I'm a live and let live type. Lifestylesdont bother me unless people start trying to push others for special accommodations.

The person mentioned in the OP clearly being one.

Not used to leaving a bro, sis, anyone out there. I'll do what I need to, I feel comfortable in my decision already. Keep your input out here.

It's how I met her. When she told me of the transition part I think I questioned myself for like a month

Same. I don't really care how someone chooses to live their life but I also don't think that the other 99.4+% of society should have to adjust their behavior, language or anything else for a small subset of people that choose to live a different lifestyle.
