Two Dead...My God that had to be a horrific scene for the first responders
Prayers for the families involved
Louisiana seems to have an unusually high number of train/car collisions IMO

WHITE CASTLE - Deputies reported two people are dead Thursday afternoon after a train crashed into a truck in Dorseyville near White Castle. Investigators said the train tracks run parallel to LA-1. The crossing did not have warning arms. Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies said the wreck happened just after noon Thursday, killing two people. Details are still being released about the White Castle crash. Another train crash happened earlier Thursday morning along LA-1 just after 9 a.m. The morning crash involved a train and a dump truck. Deputies said no fatalities were reported in connection with the collision, but a person was airlifted from the scene to an area hospital. Acadian Ambulance was on the scene of both crashes. Investigators noted that the morning crash also occurred at a railroad crossing that did not have warning arms.

Do you really NEED these..? Just fricking pay attention, don't stop on tracks, and don't try and beat out the train. Pretty hard to miss a train. Especially when they're sitting there blaring their horn

Were there warning lights? There are plenty of railroad crossings in BR that don't have warning arms, just lights. I cross over several, it's really not hard, look for the warning lights.

This phrase needs to get caught on some train tracks.

Should've had that recall fixed.

Why? If I'm looking at the right crossing on Google Maps, the tracks are clearly marked.

Not statutorily required to have warning arms. Lawsuits may be filed but once the train operator can prove they satisfied their lawful requirements, the case will be dismissed
