I thought we established over a month ago that toilet paper and paper towel hoarding was never necessary.....why are people still doing it?
A "second wave" panic? Replacing that crappy one ply they had to buy? Too much beans and rice from panic shopping? Whut?

My buddy just bought a new house. He said when they were looking, they opened the spare bedroom closet and it was slammed full of TP

I don't know if this is the case with TP and this is what my mom told me when she went to the store to get Clorox wipes a few weeks ago and she asked a worker if people were still buying up everything as soon as it comes in.
She was referring to the Clorox wipes so I don't know if this applies to other items, but the worker told her that Clorox were being spread out more. Stores where they didn't sell as many as they did at other stores all of a sudden started selling more so they are having to equally distribute so they just were not getting the same amount they normally get.
It wasn't that people were still hoarding them, it was just that more people started to buy the products more on top of having less product.

Producers of things used to store products in warehouses and could absorb a rush on product.
Everyone moved to the just in time production model, so any upset to the normal flow is readily seen.
Producers cut out the storage costs and increased profits, but are now unable to respond to the surge of demand.

I saw a bunch at the store yesterday. The aisle was mostly stocked including the premium brands.

When you think about the average American's level of stupidity, just remember, when the world thought we had a major pandemic on our hands that would kill 1-2+ million Americans alone, the first thing most of the people stocked up on was toilet paper.
Not foods, vitamins, etc., but freaking toilet paper.

The softminded that save money in the bank are the TP hoarders.
Smart gold buyers are buying Pork and Beef for the freezer at the superstores.
Loggers can cough Covid on a cut tree, meat processors can't on your meat..
Billy Ray Valentine tells the Dukes to buy Pork.

how can tp hoarding ever be a topic worth a thread?wtf cares either way. if you can't buy tp bc of hoarding, then that proves you should have better prepared. If you can get tp in spite of hoarding, then you have tp and a thread is completely pointless.
