Good luck collecting against the city of New Orleans. They only have unpaid judgments dating back to the 1980s.

I said that already in a different post....

No go cups so whether they are open or not doesn't matter.

Go to restaurant bar...order your beer or cocktail..they will serve it to you in a can, bottle or glass.

Then, order a cup of water in a plastic cup....pour water out, pour drink in and walk away...

Now you have your to go drink

Well yeah, most people who complain about that type of thing long ago left Orleans Parish. Cantrell doesn’t have to care about what Metairie and Mandeville think

Bars operating as restaurants will be closed. I'm assuming Fat's is like that.

They are classified as a restaurant. Didn't need one of those provisional licenses.

a post on r/neworleans right now about this

Could have all been avoided by being more strict earlier and not going on about how everyone is invited here for Mardi Gras. I feel horrible for the bars not in the French Quarter; residents can't even pop by neighborhood places for a to-go drink. Now everyone has to pay for her mistakes, even if there was no chance of it being a tourist spot.

they're mad at Destroya...for not doing enough

I'd imagine they already had the license before COVID...I would have to believe they are considered a bar though..

If not then the Bulldog and Wrong Iron, Tchop Yard, Bayou Beer Garden, etc.....will all be open

So she is admitting that something could have been done all along to prevent the crowds from gathering.

Bet this gets her national news coverage and a few spots to promote her brand.

"The world will be watching." And that's the fricking crux of it for her. Locals and business owners have been begging for months for any kind of enforcement, but she does nothing until she knows there's a bigger spotlight on her. Unreal.

Pretty much everywhere in the country has mandated masks since July and it hasn’t done shite. It’s almost like a cloth mask can’t stop a highly transmittable virus.

They’re either all on government assistance, government employees or unemployed. Zero skins in the game. They just keep collecting checks and have no worry about where they’re coming from.

My stance is...IF she wins, she wont win in a landslide....and the only way she wins is if no one runs against her.....put a solid democratic candidate against her and she's done

So the only way to beat her is to run someone against her who has similar/identical policies. That seems helpful.
