The overwhelming majority of people I know in NOLA are Masked Covidians and believe the shutdowns are absolutely necessary. They get super angry and upset with anyone who questions them or doesn’t abide by the shutdowns and mask mandates. I have lost several longtime friends over the last few months.

This is so stupid. If this was the first month of this virus, I would say it was maybe ok because there were so many unknowns then. But this is just discriminating against all bar owners while they randomly pick and choose who they decide to shut down.
We know who is most at risk now and this virus ain't going anywhere even with the vaccine that those in charge all pointed to as the answer to getting back to normal. Most people are not going to get the vaccine based on how many qualify right now and how many are saying they don't want it as it's offered to them (and these are the people MOST at risk).
The survival rate is somewhere between 97% to 99.75%, so those who are most at risk can get the vaccine or just take extra precautions and life should go on as usual. Too many lives are being negatively affected otherwise (kids being isolated due to no school/no friends leading to increased depression/suicides, parents losing jobs leading to depression and instability in the home/poverty, 800 businesses PER DAY closing and people's livelihoods and dreams dying/disappearing, etc.). We all have a choice. As Morgan Freeman said, "Get busy living or get busy dying."
