I'm sorry you're not yet comfortable with your masculinity.
Don't be afraid to try it. Splash of tonic water and you'll over serve yourself soon enough. No one else GAF.

They key is to research on the app first.
My Christmas present each year is a wine advent calender. My wife gets me a bottle for all 25 days.

I spent $1250 on 5 bottles of wine.
Picked me up a nice Boone's Farm for $3.50 at the Wal Marks

Some guy in line ahead of me spent $550 on fricking wine.
I mean, I personally wouldn't spend that much on wine, but depending on the type of wine, that's not a crazy amount of money
I'm guessing Opus One 2017

That’s a $350 bottle. Hell Del Dotto The Beast is $425. I’m guessing Ole baw got 10-12 bottles of high class porch pounding wine. No shame in that

That's all? He must be poor.

We could drink for 6 months on $550!

Wine snobs are the most lightweight of snobs.

$500 goes fast with wine.
The worst is when you visit Napa, get a little boozed up tasting and every few months after your Amex gets blown up for $800 and another half dozen bottles of wine shows up on your porch.

Naw. For over double the price, I don’t find the tasting value......
Have you had an old properly stored wine? Something that's meant to age? It's eye opening when you do and see the potential of a wine.
I cringe when I see someone post a picture of a recent Brunello or Barolo they drank. All they did was deny that wine its potential. If you want to drink a fresh wine then buy something that's made to be consumed upon release.

The greatest difference between Total Wine and Specs for me is the entire aisle devoted to “Choose Your Own Beer” 6pack. Specs might have an end cap with a couple of shitty local beers. At Total Wine and more I can login to UnTapped, see what the highest rated beers are across the country or in my region and make my own 6psck of them. Specs craft beer selection is trash
