So many bottles. So many people. Went there during lunch. Probably got covid.

Some guy in line ahead of me spent $550 on fricking wine.

I keep hearing this name. Is this the equivalent of Spec's?

I mean, I personally wouldn't spend that much on wine, but depending on the type of wine, that's not a crazy amount of money.

Going during off times. I went on a Saturday once. Big mistake. Huge.

Way better than Spec's IMO. The stores are generally a lot nicer and they have more selection.

I've been to one Spec's and one Total Wine here in Houston and Total wine is by far the better liquor store.

Granted the Spec's I've been to could have just been a one off in terms of how ghetto it was. Experienced the same with my first trip to an HEB. Turned out, I went to the "bad one".

I have a little wine "cellar." If you want it to look stocked, you're gonna have to make a big run every now and then.

It’s ok but a little overwhelming. Can’t beat mainstream selection obviously but it was lacking certain local beers I was looking for. I’d rather support local specialty liquor stores.

It’s a commercialized version of Spec’s on steroids. Nothing rivals the charm of the rabbit on the paper bag or the cash discount.

I'm crushing Western Son flavored vodka recently. My god is it dangerous. Blueberry especially.

You do have to watch the expiration dates on their craft beer. They charge top dollar for old beer.

Total Wine in general is bigger with more selection, but there are Spec’s stores that are the same size with a similar selection.

There is one massive Spec’s in Dallas, but like 15 Total Wine’s, all huge.

$550 is nothing for wine. I spend that or more every 2 weeks or so.

Also screw total wine...support your local stores when you buy your case of Busch Lite.

It’s not really hard to, especially since Christmas parties are picking up.

My sommelier, Thomas, who you laymen know as “TH03” has recommended the most delightful Argentinian Malbec, Gascón.

I need to find a place that has a lot of South African wines. Really enjoyed those but hard for me to find so far when I've looked.
