dukke v, I highly doubt you would have the wherewithal nor the gall to say that to Tiger Craig’s face.

There is also a pretty significant threat of flash flooding today.

BTW, your coronavirus thread on the Alabama board has been trashed with politics.
Thanks for having run it and updating early on. I tried to keep it on topic, but it's been overwhelmed by opinions

We got any good Tornado chasers to follow? Hoping for a day of big time tornadoes and lots of excitement. We could all use some good TV during these times.

That red box in central Mississippi seems to be always under the gun as far as tornadoes. Seems like the northern part of MS and the coast doesn’t get nearly as many warnings and watches as that central part of the state
Not exactly...you are suffering from recency bias. North MS in particular has plenty of tornadoes. Here lately the pattern has been a notch south in South Central MS but taken as a whole over time, it is pretty evenly spread.

quote:That's a fact, but usually the Golden Triangle up to Columbus is under the gun too: Even if they say the event is going to be south of I20, mother nature always seems to sneak in some lagniappe on the north side of that I20 divide, and oftentimes Tupelo to Corinth is under the gun too but not nearly as much as Columbus-south.
That red box in central Mississippi seems to be always under the gun as far as tornadoes.
I sound like a broken record, but I've always said that if there are severe thunderstorms capable of producing maneaters, then the central and eastern portion of the state in between Highway 82 and Interstate 20 will be in on the action, especially in April.
We always have a pucker factor or two during these events if conditions are conducive, it never ever fails, and if you live in between that Highway 82 and Interstate 20 sector and are far enough east to where those storms that crossed the Mississippi River have had enough time to recharge their batteries and yet you disregard your statistical likelihood of having a hurricanado sweep uncomfortably close or even skull drag your arse, then you haven't lived here long enough.
Regardless, your delusion is running on borrowed time.

1st tornado warning of the day (that I know of)

I know one thing: after witnessing the most extensive flash flooding (and damage to our road infrastructure) that I've ever seen in my lifetime on some of our land during last weekend's event, I hate to see what it'll do if we even come close this weekend.

There was one in Georgia a little while ago.
