Hell no. Twitter sourced.
That passed about 1.5 mi north of me. I was in the notch though and it was a wild ride. Oddly enough the last time this happened it took all the big trees with it. This time no big trees so everything looks good.

Good news
Just finished deck replacement from straight line winds this spring. Hard to get enough workers for a larger project out there. Hoping to avoid major wind damage.

We spent a lot on our new (to us) house in Louisiana trimming our larger Magnolias, Oaks, and two massive pecan trees.
Unless we lose entire trees, nothing should hit our house. But we've had several storms with 50+ MPH straight line winds and that will blow leaves and smaller branches in from the neighbors and pepper our windows. Also had one microbust that blew their trampoline a good ways too.
Can't really do much about that. But I feel prepared unless we get a freak storm that knocks entire trees down.

So glad you are ok!
Do you have power back now?

Yep. Power and internet both came back when the sirens went off. Beautiful day for tennis now if the courts weren’t under 3” of water

That line doesn’t look bad at all.

Not sure what you’re looking at. Those discrete cells are capable of producing tornadoes

Current loop. I like this one because of the warnings.
It used to be the standard map at radar.weather.gov, but they changed their map in the last year or so.
ETA: The new map sucks arse.

I’m sure it will be more organized and cohesive as it gets closer but there’s a huge difference between that and the solid red snake-like line from north to south bowing out.

We are in the yellow at the top now.

I prefer that view for 24 hours out, too. Gives a much better picture.

Upper level flow with this big trough shifts out of the SW and parallel to the front overnight. There’s nothing to move this front until this longwave trough shifts farther east and westerly flow sweeps it out. The same areas that got a ton of rain Sunday morning will get a lot more into Wednesday. HRRR with big totals through Acadiana, St Landry Parish. Baton Rouge will get a bunch of rain but the line should be kicking out by the time it gets into SELA
