It has gone through phases where it has completely wrapped the circulation in precip. This is the third time it has done it without actually "cycling down".

Again I’m an idiot but does it look like the inflow is being cut off some?

It still looks clean to me, but you're not an idiot. I see what youre seeing, with precip in what was an open slot in the hook.

If it does start pulling some rain cooled air in around it though, it would weaken.

I feel kind of selfish asking this, but I have a toddler and a pregnant wife at home. How worried should Nashville be tonight?

Not selfish, have 2 ways of receiving warnings, phone, weather radio, sirens, etc. Personally I wouldn’t be sleeping, but that’s just me, I worry about everything.

Had my first last year, dont feel selfish.

It should be a line and more your typical severe event. This isnt like what happened in March 2020. Keep your phone by you, be able to get alerts, but Im not especially worried about Nashville tonight.

I would definitely have a plan and a weather radio.

The impact for you will be in a couple of hours it appears.

You have no reason to feel selfish for asking that. It is your responsibility to worry about stuff like that.

I believe you're in the same boat as most others to the East of this mess. You will likely deal with the squall line that has lower end tornado potential and likely straight line wind. Just have a way to get warnings and seek shelter like you normally do for storms.
