Our property is on a hilltop with a great view. On one side, we overlook Lake Bridgeport, and on the other side we can see all the way to a water tower near Springtown. Directly in the path of that tornado last night coming out of Runaway Bay. Baseball size hail beat the shite out of the house and about half the house flooded from the heavy rain.
I was at a festival in Willow Park yesterday when I got a call that a close friend had a heart attack and isn't going to make it, so I drove down to Austin. So I'm having to keep my wife on the phone as she's huddled in a bathtub with our toddler and infant daughters. The hail was so loud we could barely hear each other.
Lots of friends and neighbors with significant property damage in Wise and Parker counties.
On a lighter note, we'd built a temporary stage for the music festival and joked that it would blow over with a slight breeze. When the other guys got back there this morning, they expected it to be completely toppled. It was still standing and fully intact

Woke up to quarter sized hail beating the hell out of the house. Then an hour later my phone blew up with an emergency message about a coming cell with 3 inch hail. Luckily that one passed a mile to the north

Surprisingly, it looks better than I expected. We're over here off Matlock in the shopping plaza having dinner. Nice looking and clean stores.
Yeah. I’ve been to nice shopping and dining.
I guess I meant that most of the residential neighborhoods I’ve seen have looked rough.

Golf ball size hail coming down in Wichita currently. We’ve been flirting with real bad shite a lot the last couple years. Makes me nervous our time is coming
I thought about you all when I saw that pop up yesterday. That thing was crawling and had a hell of a core with it. Sitting under that, even without a tornado, would have been no fun at all.

I was putting my daughter down when it hit. Sounded like I was sitting in a range picker at a golf course getting blasted for 15 or so minutes straight. Daughter still passed out and wasn’t phased a bit

Not that I’ve seen. I’m sure there’s something somewhere but as far as we’re concerned the cars were in the garage and I’m not seeing anything on our house.

Most atypical for us ---- started in Wichita Falls and headed south, southeasterly rather than southwest to east, northeast [like this evening's]

And another tornado warning about 15 miles north , northeast of us....moving east - southeast

That storm is pretty much stationary. It has moved less than 20 miles in just under an hour.
Confirmed tornado near Sycamore and Neodesha, KS with big hail.

Thankfully if it’s tracking where I think it is there’s not much that way. Actually really pretty country out there. More hills then you’d think for Kansas

It is a nasty one. Public confirmed tag in the warning.
It is almost right smack sab in the middle of six different radars, which means none of them have a good look at it.

Just saw today’s the 25th anniversary of the Andover, Ks f5 tornado. Teaching in Andover it’s crazy to see the effect it’s still had on the town even today

They warned it again. Won't take much effort to chase that one, you could do it on a bicycle.
