Looks like a jacket in mossy oak pattern but it’s hard to tell with that Acolapissa fleshing tool in the way.

Next time photograph it against a solid color instead of camo.

Looks like an early form of horse-drawn carriage nuts (missing its partner, obviously).

While I did consider that Indian tribe, I don't believe they ever mastered metal work

Where at near Covington?
I’m just kind of curious what type of madness was occurring near my old stomping grounds.

That looks like a battle ax. It looks more Scandinavian than it does Native American. It would be worth it to contact a real archaeologist and have them examine it.

The wood doesn't look like it was buried underground for very long.

I also found a Nazi flag topper in the same area. Roughly 10in in diameter.
Chances I merely stumbled on some old baw's WW2 treasure trove?
It was buried behind a barn on some property my mom had purchased. They were within 50ft of 9ne another.

You need to be quiet. Some will claim that's some artifact of some Indian tribe and successfully sue you for it plus damages.

Can you tell what kind of metal it is made of? Looks like brass. Could be a real artifact that someone added a new wood handle to. Cool find either way. The flag topper could be valuable also if real.

Flag topper netted 8k in 2006.
The metal on the hatchet/axe feels like brass

Sounds like a museum souvenir from WW2 Europe.

Contact morphy auctions in Denver, Pa. They sell that kind of stuff for big money if it's legitimate.
Eta. It is Pa not Co.

Just showed these pics to my archaeology professor to see if he could provide any insight. He said it looks to be a 4XL or 5XL. Could possibly be bigger, but he would have to examine in person to be sure.

3xl raincoat to go over standard coat and layers when we were in Idaho.
Be better.
