I had a weird paranormal experience. We were in downtown Los Angelos hotel a few years back. It’s a beautiful older building with rumors of several ghosts but I never believed in that stuff so didn’t care. The first night we were there I was awakened at about 3am as a lamp and tv behind me were both turning off and on over and over. I could feel someone in the room and the temperature dropped 10-15 degrees. Now my imagination is running wild and I’m a little scared to turn over and look. Both lamp and tv both stopped and she started moving so I finally saw her. She had a pretty face with dark eyes wearing a dress from 100 plus years ago. As she walked by the foot of the bed dragging her hand over our feet. I fricking felt her slight pressure on my legs and jumped up to a seated position. She was blurry from thighs down and made a gesture to cover a giggle or something. She turned toward the door and started gliding there so I said “hey! Stop!” But she kept walking and disappeared before reaching the door

I live on the Northshore near Folsom. About 5 years ago we had a pretty bad summer storm and lost power for a couple days. The second night i couldn't sleep because it was hot af I decided to go fishing in the pond behind my house. I was throwing a black spinner bait at about 2 am. It was a very clear night, the kind were you can kinda see the milky way.
All of sudden I felt silence behind me. I heard it before I saw it. Only way to explain is to say it was like negative sound. I turned around with my bait still in the water and saw the sky was blacked out. It was like vantablack an area about the size of a football field. It was beyond silent, not only did it not make any noise it seemed like it was sucking in the sound around it. It was way way darker then the sky around it. I could not tell how high up it was. I reeled in a fast as I could and was about to take off to the house. When I looked back again it had moved from the east to the west in the sky and was going away from me. Then after a few more seconds I could see what looked like oil rig lights in top. The lights lit the sky above it but no below it. A few more seconds and it was out of my sight. The bugs started making noises again I went and sat on my back porch trying to wrap my head around what it was. Next thing I know the sun was breaking. 3 or so hours had gone by in what felt like 30 minutes.
I have told a few people about it. One guy who is into astronomy and goes star gazing said he hears about em all the time and said if you try and take a picture of it or record it nothing is there, you see just a normal sky.

Good stuff, Rando. That unnerved me. I've experienced several unsettling and inexplicable encounters, and here's one that will haunt me forever.
It was the early 1980s and I was driving home from college for Thanksgiving. For about four hours of the drive it's nothing but cornfields. It was already dark, I was antsy as hell, and just my luck, construction slowed traffic to an irritating standstill. I opted to take a detour on a parallel country road.
I was on this unpaved road for a good half-hour when my old Impala's left rear tire got punctured and I found myself marooned in the middle of nowhere. Parked to the side of the road by the ditch, I grab a flashlight and am about to change the flat when I see a pickup truck coming behind me. An instinct kicks in and I go back to the car and lock the door.
Fifteen yards in front of me, the truck stops and a burly man gets out and walks up to my car. The road is narrow and he's decided to park in the middle of the road, effectively blocking any passing traffic. It doesn't matter though, as there is no traffic and I hadn't seen one car on this road until now. While he's coming over, I can see two other people in his cab, but they are faced forward and not looking at me. That's the image I remember most.
So he knocks on my window and I reluctantly crack it. He asks calmly, "Need any help?" and puts my mind at ease. I tell him I should be fine and appreciate his asking. I roll up the window, exhale, but can feel that's he still standing there peering down at me. An eternity passes, which was likely just 5 seconds, and then he says: "You sure about that?"
I keep an upbeat disposition and assure him I am. Then, to my dismay, he tugs at the door handle. It's almost imperceptible, as if he's trying to be stealthy about it. When I hear the handle jiggle I tell myself in no uncertain terms that I am going to die. This is not going to end well for me. I sit frozen, paralyzed by fear. I am vulnerable and cycle through all my options, and I come up with nothing. If someone had asked me to talk, I wouldn't have been able to.
The next thing he does both relieves me and simultaneously frightens me: he walks aways and mutters audibly, "lucky."
He then gets back into the truck, makes a quick U-turn and drives back in the direction they came, which might be the most inexplicable part of the whole nightmare.

A flying wing when I was a kid flew over a friend's house while we were shooting fireworks.
No clue what it actually was, bigger than a Nighthawk though.

How people using EBT cards at Circle K have a nicer phone than me
This one is easy to explain. They have a nicer phone than you because they don’t have to pay for their own food, thus they have more money for phones.

Here's my story:
One day I was hiking in the woods in Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. Not on any marked trial, just off a NFS road in NFS land. I ended up coming across a set of steps out of the middle of nowhere. Though maybe it was from an old cabin, but when I got closer it was those precast concrete types you see for houses or mobile homes. Anyway, against better judgement I walked up the steps. The next thing I remember I'm on this fricking forum having to read all of OweOs stupid shite. Goddamn aliens.

This game me the chills. I've been to many places supposedly haunted, but have never have experienced anything.

Years ago a friend got a great deal on a condo in downtown Chicago. He paid $25K for a parking spot but that's a different story.
After he moved in he started seeing someone walking thru the condo out of the corner of his eye. When he would look that direction they disappeared.
It happened enough that he was able to describe the person as a young girl with short dark hair.
Time goes on and he meets a neighbor who asked how he liked living there, etc. He tells the story of the girl and the neighbor showed him a photo of the previous owner who had committed suicide in the condo.
It was the girl he had been seeing walk thru.

I've told this story before:
When I was about 12 or 13, my boy scout troop went on na bikeriding trip to Vicksburg, MS. They have a lot of trails around the battlefield with monuments to each state that sent soldiers to fight in the battle. The largest of these monuments is the Illinois monument which consists of a large pavilion one can walk inside of.
The troop stopped to eat lunch at the Illinois monument because it offered shade and shelter in case it started raining. While most of the other kids were outside eating their sandwiches, my friend and I walked inside the pavilion to look at the placards and historical markers. I could hear the groundskeeper weed-eating, the kids laughing and talking, and birds chirping, etc...until I couldn't.
Suddenly, the lighting changed dramatically, like all of the color had been drained from the world. Everything went dead-silent, like the world had been placed on mute. Slowly and softly, I could hear what sounded like hoofbeats, shouts, cannon blasts, screams, explosions, growing louder, and louder, and louder until they became deafening.
I looked around, and saw my friend is passed out on the ground in the center of the pavilion. I yell his name, scream "wake up!" as I try to shake him awake in a blind and terrified panic as the sounds of battle continue to grow ever louder.
Suddenly, his eyes open in terror, his face drained of all color as the sounds suddenly cease completely, the lighting returns to normal, and the sounds of the world outside (weedeaters, kids playing, birds, cars, etc) are audible again. My friend is breathing heavily as he starts to sit up. I ask him "what the hell happened!?"
He replies, like he had just seen a ghost, "I was there!"
I wanted to know what he meant, but I could hear the Scoutmaster telling everyone to get ready to leave so we rushed out, still in shock about what happened.
Later that night, at dinner, I asked him what he meant by "I was there". He told me that he was marching in formation in the confederate ranks not far from the front during the battle. The Union opened fire, and he watched as the men in front of and onside of him were mowed down before he too was shot just before waking up on the floor of the pavilion. He found out later that he had an ancestor that had served in the Confederate Army who died in the Battle of Vicksburg.
That single event made sure that I never ever discount things that I can't explain.

Several years ago we went to a B&B in podunk NC. There were about 8 civil war era tobacco barns that were moved there and made into cabins. It was run by a very nice gentleman.
The first night we were asleep and all of a sudden all hell broke loose. It sounded like an indian war party, yipping and yelling really loud in the downstairs part of the cabin. I was frozen in terror. It went on for a good 30 seconds and totally freaked me out. The next day I walked all around the cabin looking for footprints. Nothing there.
Fast forward three years and we go back there again. It was bought by some new people and I was talking to them in the main house. I told her we had been there before but did not mention what happened. In the course of the conversation she said two weeks prior they had discovered that there was a native american burial grounds on the property. I just about crapped my pants.
During that stay we had another eerie incident.
