The Mustang is tighter less rattles. The Mustang's interior is better, more user friendly. The mustang will ride better. The Camaro, depending on yr and engine, will have more power but not a lot more. Especially for everyday driving.

The latter the year the Mustang GTs get better and better suspension and handling.

I may be prejudice. Actually I am

What I would do is drive a few if you can. Read road tests of all the yr models you are considering. decide what you want from the car. JD Power, Edmonds. Motor Trend, Car and Driver. etc.

Then buy the one you like, not what someone else likes.

And now I'm laughing at you, because you are spouting the Motor Trend article. Motor Trend. Who has been selling ________ of the Year to the highest bidder for decades.

To wit:

Motor Trend Car of the Year:

1983 Renault Alliance
1974 Ford Mustang II
1971 Chevrolet Vega
1980 Chevrolet Citation
2006 Honda Ridgeline
2002 Ford Thunderbird

They know their cars, alright.

Not that it's really relevant, but the Z28 had a better laptime than a 911 TurboS and a Nissan GTR a few years back.

The Z28 is an aweome car, although a lot of that advantage comes on the 'ring comes from the fact that it runs R compound tires...big ones...

Rented a Camaro three weeks ago. Had a 325 horsepower V6, hauled arse and was fun to drive but it rattled. It only had 10k miles and could hear rattling coming from a couple spots.
Go with the Stang, better, more durable body and interior. Plus it’s kinda sexy how it sits.

Camaro is the better vehicle from a "driving" stand point 2016 and on.

You can fit people in the backseat of a mustang.

Challenger has more overall room and handles more like a traditional American muscle car...both good and bad.

If I were buying a toy, I'd buy a 2016 or newer manual transmission 1ss or 2ss camaro.

If I were buying a daily driver, I'd buy a challenger.

If I were to choose between those two, it would be the Mustang.

But it would be this one.

I'm not using their opinion to support my argument. I'm using their quantifiable data. If you don't think that is worthy proof then we have nothing to talk about.

I have a 2010 Camaro. Love it. You can drive it all day and it acts like a good passenger car. You can whip it into a frenzy in no time when you want to.

Downside - not good for rear passengers. Sight lines take getting used to (visibility of a tank). Avoid the 2010s - there is a sensor that wears out that is located on top of the gas tank - have to drop the rear axel to change. I think GM relocated it in 2011.

I don’t understand buying a sports/performance car with an automatic transmission. I had a camaro from 2010-2014 manual and loved every second of it. I get far fewer speeding tickets now tho with an SUV

Agreed 100%. But the auto was for a millenial teenager. All of my personal cars were manual.

Are you a douchebag?

If so, then the new(er) Mustang is built for you.

I just got a Camaro around a month ago and really enjoy it. It’s not a DD though and the lack of visibility takes some getting used to. I also like the Mustang and feel you can’t go wrong with either choice.
