The Mustang is a better looking car in my opinion.

I had a Camaro when they first came out and have bought my kid a couple of the new Mustangs. I preferred the Camaro. The rear end of the Mustang feels so loose. The Camaro also felt more powerful, though mine was a manual and the Mustangs were automatics.

which one is better?

I literally did this about 6 months ago and am having a blast. I went with a 2011 Camaro RS/2SS. I'm not sure how cheap you are wanting to go.

1987 iroc or 2000s Trans Am WS6 - probably not cheap , but could find affordable vehicles.

the 2015+ (S-550) coyote mustangs are great cars. The independent rear suspension was a game changer.

I have seriously been considering a challenger as my next car. My ex hated them.

Your OP says "really cheap" so you and I must have different definitions. I picked mine up for $14,500.
