South Side of Horn Island is hard to beat.
Kayaked out there and camped for a couple nights. You're right, the south side of it is fantastic

I've only been to CA a couple of times. But Coronado beach is beautiful. I wouldn't say it's much better than a Siesta or even the Keys (not sure why Keys are catching hell ITT. They are awesome if you know where to look)
Siesta is frickin beautiful though.

That beach is pretty wide at the Hotel Del. Must've been 250-300 yds wide when I went there.
La Jolla has some nice beaches too, but the unbelievably hot women everywhere kinda skew my opinion.

St George Island, Florida is my favorite. Of course I haven't been to that many.
Looked on a few websites and it looks like Siesta Beach, Sarasota, Florida shows up on most of them. Usually in the top 5, top 2 on at least a couple

Bruh, you ain't lyin. It's rife with talent. Surely OP would allow this metric to be used in this ranking.

There is no better beach than Destin area across 30A.
They're nice beaches and all but I don't get the hype. My mom lives there and I visit almost every year. Yeah, white sand is pretty but that's about all there is as far as scenery. Also hot as frick in the summer out of the water.

Siesta Key in Sarasota routinely wins best USA beach.
Or Holmes beach near Anna Maria are fantastic.
The only other beach that is as nice is around the 30A area

I've always liked ST. George in FL.
Hadn't been a while since I moved to LA. But no big condos, water was always clear, they kept the beach natural.

I've been to beaches all over the east coast and the ones around Sarasota are the best. And yes, the ones in northern Mich are beautiful but the water is cold. Been to some of them also

The west coat along the Gulf side of Florida and down to Sarasota, St. Pete, Clearwater. Not much for waves but the size of the white sand beaches and the water being almost clear makes for beautiful beaches. The keys are beautiful also.

Give me mountains/lakes over a beach, especially in the summer
I do enjoy the beach, but it's crazy to me that more people don't make a trip to somewhere like Colorado, Montana, etc over the summer. Now going lay out on the beach with a screwdriver or a beer with some music playing is quite nice, just have a heavy preference toward mountains. Seems like most people choose mountains during the winter, when all there is to do is ski. Weird to me.

I agree. I live 5 mins from the beach out here. I love to surf so beaches with waves interest me. I am past just laying out and getting burnt. A good cold lake in the shade when it is hot is just fine with me. The places you suggested are beautiful and probably not as hot as out here.

What is the best beach in the continental US?
We love the Charleston area Beaches. 15minutes to the city. Long stretches, often very quiet, lots of wildlife.
