These guys are idiots. Do they not think anyone has made preparations for this nonsense? Do they think law enforcement hasn't planned for this? If it happens, which I doubt, there will be adequate law enforcement presence there.

Is this a different group from the New Black Panther Party that came briefly to Badon Roux Edge?

Last weekend I was talking to one of the local cops, and he brought up a planned protest like this (with open carry). He said the law allows open carry, but it does not allow open carry in large groups. I don't know how true this is, or even if it's true in Louisiana (as this was in Alabama).

This.

How pathetic is this.

"We tried this shite in BR and got shut down. So now, we are just going to go to a little town and pick on everyone with our assault riffles on our shoulders."

What exactly is the point again?

I'm from Mamou and can say that I think they picked it because they did not get the response they were looking for in Baton Rouge (inciting a riot) and figure that they can go to Mamou and incite the locals, or at least one person, to have a confrontation and then they have their moment in the press.

That being said, it can go two ways in my opinion....

1) Nobody shows up to counter protest and they march down empty streets in a town of 2500 people and 2 red lights

or

2) The people of the surrounding areas show up and counter protest, and someone on either side does something stupid and my hometown gets wrecked and is in the National spotlight.

Dang, bro, you must not have come back in the last 25 years. There's only one red light, at the corner of 6th and Main. The town got rid of the other one about 25 years ago!

HA!

Yea have not been to downtown Mamou since my folks moved out. Nowadays I stop in at T-boys for my sausage and tasso fix and turn around and roll right back to BTR.

Do they still have the statue of the indian chief downtown? Maybe that's what they are protesting...

Yep, those statues are still there.

I think, like others have said here, they didn't get what they wanted in Baton Rouge so now they think they're gonna show us crackers what's what.

They're gonna need some luck with that.

After the br police shooting this morning, this has the potential to get real ugly real quick. Silent majority will rise up at some point.

Yeah, I don't think the Black Panthers or anyone else should be allowed to march. Could get real ugly real quick.

Call the national guard. Not a chance in hell these militant racists should be allowed to march.
