We are about to be living in a dystopian, draconian sci fi world. The singularity is coming into view.

The worst thing about “AI” is the stupid CEOs driving the clown car toward massive layoffs to save money and end up destroying the economy

I'm not worried about sentient AI. I’m worried about the tards in control of it

Anyone else read the “AI 2027” Scenario?

No, but I read most of the book “Out Final Invention.” It’s pretty good but also pretty unrealistic IMO (and I sort of lost interest about 80% into it). But it’s a good thought experiment to consider what implications (and results) could arise from AGI or ASI.

I may check out this video tomorrow.

Just figured this might be interesting to the forum, especially given the timeline. The video makes more sense than the outline there if it peaks your interest.

It's "pique" not peak.

Its seems pretty clear that the current iteration of AI (LLMs) is NOT going to lead to AGI and especially not ASI.

Mid-2025: AI systems evolve into autonomous agents, functioning like employees. Coding AIs handle complex tasks via platforms like Slack, saving significant time, while research agents scour the internet for answers. Early AI personal assistants are released but often make errors, though specialized coding agents quietly boost research efficiency.
