Yep, authoritarians are just afraid "the other side" will do to them, what they want to do to the others.
They don't even really believe in Democracy. They're already trying to put anyone not in their party in a negative light. Racist, xenophobe, etc. This would be a one party nation if they had their way.

I think that's the thing that's most scary to me. The whole point of higher education should be and used to be about debate and sharing and dissecting opinions. But we're at the point where non progressive views and people are silenced and shouted down. I'm pretty sure that's a main tenet of fascism.
