Doesn’t bother me one little bit cause i am not about to do it ever want to do 20-+ years at BRPD. So if they want to work a bunch of overtime, go for it.
So you’re retarded. Got it…. Because that’s what you are if you actually believe this man worked nearly 14 hrs a day 365…

im sure there was OT everyday. If this guy didnt take it, someone else wud have so the # of hours isn't fraudulent its happening in every PD

This. It’s happening everywhere now. 12 hour shift plus 6 hour OT is not uncommon these days, at all
NO ONE wants to be a cop anymore, especially after the last decade or so. That leaves this situation where it’s either pay outrageous OT or leave shifts and details un-covered. That’s before even getting to special details like random school events, sporting events, etc.

I don’t necessarily believe it, but my math came out a little differently. More like 11.5 hr days for 365.. or 13.5 hr days 6 days a week. Which at least in the industry I’m in is not unheard of.

OT should be capped at like 1,000 hours a year. Maybe less.
Outside of it being blatant theft, it’s a waste of fricking taxpayer money to pay all this OT.
So if he is covering for understaffing how do you rectify it? If they could hire more officers they likely would.

No one is applying. Those that do are usually unqualified or unfit

I’m sure she hadn’t fallen off that much…

So instead they just blow over budget with more expensive OT pay.. makes sense or more likely, it’s fraudulent bc this one guy has been putting in these numbers for years so unless he’s sleeping and eating in duty then he’s full of shite

Good thing the city doesn’t employ plant operators.

If you want shifts covered you have to pay overtime.
How about we just have them work for free. Some of you people are delusional.

That's not an earner, that's a taker, and he's close to retirement, so he's upping his average hours to maximize his pension.
You are describing many govt workers. They get good salaries and then up their pensions.

2080 hours is a work year for someone who works 40 hours/week and gets federal holidays
2080= 52x40. 40 hours per week, every week, no holidays

I’m fine with them working as much OT as they’re capable of. I just refuse to believe they’re physically capable of maintaining 11.5 hour days for 365 straight days. Or 13.5 hour days for 6 days a week.
Hundreds of those hours are fraudulent.

Blahahahajhahaha
This is every parish.
Don’t feel bad
They don’t review overtime reports.
I told y’all at least a dozen times. One parish controller actually said to withhold sending overtime reports out to operations.
Don’t shoot the messenger.

All over the state.
You even have smaller departments whose manager is in on it.
They even monitor their sick and vacay hours to make sure they can roll the maximum over meaning there’s a lot of sick hour fraud as well.
They will never fix it.
