I always enjoyed the Boyou and the Library. Murphays says sucked unless you were a Greek.

I'm dating myself.

When I was at LSU, Tigerland bars were Zachary's, Fap's and I think Fred's. Zachary's had a mechanical bull.

Highland Road Bars were The White Horse, Brass Rail (then one of these became Shanahan's) and The Bengal.

Also went to The Library and The Bayou which gets the favorite slogan: "Walk In, Crawl Out"

And then there was Murphy's...

And honorable mention goes to The Caterie and Southdowns. RIP.

I was at LSU then too. I ended up spending more time at The Bayou than any of those places though.

Freds did the Action Jackson special. It was .25 cans if he scored over 50 & he did that a few times that season.
50+ .25
40+ .50
30+ .75
20+ 1.00

he scored 30 almost every game so it was at least .75 cans.
We used to buy $20 worth and stick them in our jackets to take home.

Couldn't tell you how many pitchers I drank at the Caterie.

Also, we used to listen to you guys at Bonnaventure's on False River that was always a blast..

Beat the Clock at The Tiger then move on to $2 pitchers at The Chimes. That Friday night routine held true for a while! Damn...those were some good times.

Did we know each other? You weren't the guy with the Duran Duran haircut were you?

Best part of KS was the taped quarter trick for the dryers on the first floor.
