I quit smoking something like 25 years ago. But I was always a Camel man. Started with Camel filters in the 80s and was smoking Camel Lights when I quit. At one time I had a ton of Joe Camel merch I got by saving my “Camel Cash”.

Haven't smoked in probably 20 years, but used to be Camel Lights, Camel Red Lights, or Marlboro Lights. In college when I was extra broke, I would smoke First Class which were $12 a carton and probably contained more stems and roots than tobacco leaf.

I quit at 21 but damn, Marlboro Reds were good. Only got them on payday. On other days I smoked Pall Mall reds.

I quit over 20 years ago. I mainly smoked Winston in the red pack or Marlboro in the red and white pack. For a while I did get pretty heavy into Kool Menthol cigarettes, but it only lasted about 4 months before I went back to Winstons.
Went cold turkey and don't miss is a lick since I quit.

My wife, her sister and her mother were all Benson & Hedges Menthol smokers and then Virginia Slims Menthol smokers . My wife said that if you smoked the menthol regularly that going back to the non menthol sucked. It would literally make her want to smoke more.....and she was a regular pack a day smoker.
She loved them. Gave them up about 8 years ago sometimes Marlboro Menthols but said they were really strong

I remember them. They were a cheap cigarette. I remember buying a pack and noticed how after a couple of drags cut was basically gone.

Child of the 70s/80s here. Damn if everyone didn’t smoke in that era.
Airplanes, restaurants, lobbies. People smoked like chimneys in their homes. My parents smoked and we had a constant blue haze that the sun would illuminate.
I had been hospitalized at St Mary’s and Elizabeth in Louisville back in the 70s for croup, asthma, you name it. That never deterred any of my family from lighting up.
Explains to this day why every cold virus I get turns into a bronchitis shitshow that requires prednisone.
Have a lot of good memories of the past, smoking isn’t one of them.

First time I ever smoke a Picayune I was a senior in high school and had been smoking for a while. That one cigarette had me dizzy as hell and almost ready to puke it was so strong.
That was the first------and last Picayune I ever smoked.

I used to be a chain smoker, but it was so hard keeping 'em lit.

*What* is “trashy”? I’m not asking for an *example* of trashiness, I’m interested in you explaining the concept in itself.
I answered it. Smoking is trashy. It just is. I dont need a concept.
