Most policies cover it 100%

Georgia has a state law that makes windshields unable to have 100% coverage. All have a $100.00 glass deductible. Moved ATL and had to get a repair and in the previous state I had 100% glass coverage. When the insurance company set up the onsite repair and told me I'd be responsible for the first $100.00, I asked. Same insurance company from previous state and changed nothing regarding the policy when I registered it in Georgia and the insurance representative informed me of the Georgia glass laws.

Sucks that your state still employs the racket that is inspection stickers.

I've had my new car 3 weeks. So far someone rear-ended me when I stopped for a pedestrian (teenage girl who was on phone and didn't even hit the brakes). Then my wife got caught in a freak hail storm with grapefruit sized hail. I assumed they'd total it due to hail damage, but the estimate for both repairs came out to $10k. It'll cost me I guess $500 (deductible on the hail). It's got 800km on it :/

Most full coverage insurance policies will cut you a separate check for the depreciation due to the wrecks/repairs.

I was driving on a two lane road going south, baw in his F-250 going north pulling a trailer, big rock falls off of the trailer, I see it bounce on the road, I say frick!
It hits my windshield on the passenger top corner, looks like it got hit with a damn baseball.

I got it drilled and filled. I will check on getting it changed Monday, but sure sucks.

It has been proven that your own car can spit out the rock that will crack your own windshield.

Since you're using Canadian units, what's that in real money?

The "glued-on" late model windshields are so much thinner than the old ones that used a grooved rubber gasket.

Should have fired your driver for being reckless and made him pay for it. Oh, wait.....no driver? How about upping your OT Baller status? fricking rookie.
