tbh I didn't look. I know all of their boiled seafood is cold and on ice(so they can sell it to EBT card holders) but they have a big steamer in the back and they will steam for free anyone that wants them to. Only takes a few minutes to get em hot.

They can only sell cold seafood for EBT purchases?

correct. Any prepared food needs to be sold cold. And that's what Tony's does. So many loopholes.

I know of a few other seafood places that does this around Baton Rouge as well.

I meant gulf blue crabs. Love those things.

Yeah, once I was having a bunch of people over and was getting a spread of stuff to pick up. I ordered several boxes of catfish. I was expecting filets. Little did I know, they fricking sell the empty carcass of a catfish, battered and deep fried.

I get home, and open up boxes of fish bones, deed fried. Wtf? I later found out that there is a group of people that don't want to pay full price for fried catfish, and for a fraction of the price, buy boxes of fried carcasses to chew on.

The rest are between the 5th and 14th of the month depending on social security number.

That's only if you follow the rules... which is for suckers.

is is. Just letting you know you can get 3 dozen for $24 instead of buying an entire sack.

Actually...hot foods can be purchased until Dec. 31, 2016 due to the floods. An emergency order was issued and I will go out on a limb and say it will be extended beyond that date.

Yep, even police patrolling the parking lot. Which is great that they protect you while shopping. Too bad you have a crappy probability of making it home.

I fricking love fresh boiled blue crabs. Early in the year, they were running tiny. I've gotten some recently that were jumbo and same as you, literally the best crabs I have ever eaten. Huge and full. Any idea when the season ends for those?
