Is he the guy that flips houses and can help you learn his system if you attend his seminar coming to your area soon?

No. You're thinking of his brother, Baskin. Baskin Robbins.

"the essential irony of Guru is that its director commits a sin of omission: He neglects to mention his own transformative experience at a Robbins seminar in 2012, as well as the role his subject played in funding this shoot, revelations that are part of the doc’s production notes. Despite the film’s titular claim, Robbins is very much allowed to play the guru for the full 116 minutes, with no one willing to separate the sage advice from the snake oil."

Friends here in Arizona went to high school with this guy. Every time we ran into him he was with a hot chick and had a nice fleet of cars. He killed himself of few years ago (slashed his own throat) while awaiting trial for scamming people.

According to a June 15, 2011, Associated Press article, Lapre was indicted by a federal grand jury in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 8, 2011, on accusations of running a nationwide scheme to sell worthless Internet businesses. Federal prosecutors accused Lapre of bilking more than 220,000 victims out of nearly $52 million. He was charged with 41 counts of conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, promotional money laundering, and transactional money laundering.

Death[edit]
Lapre died in custody from an apparent suicide on October 2, 2011, while in jail awaiting his trial, which was scheduled to begin on October 4, 2011. Lapre died from severe blood loss after cutting his throat with a razor blade.[1] The autopsy report stated that Lapre died of massive blood loss and had wrapped himself in sheets to conceal any blood loss from prison officials.[14]

Looks like a conference for people with mental health issues. Very awkward.
