It was Jesuit Missionary Thomas Green who correctly explained why there is a constant clash going on within the souls of the faithful. When Satan tries to enter into the life of the true Christian he meets with resistance. The Soul of the chaste Christian is the Temple of the Holy Spirit. When Good confronts Evil there is a clash. Read the lives of the Saints. In every case, their lives were punctuated by attacks by Satan. Including great temptations. Jesus was subjected to terrible attacks by Satan as well.
Not so with those souls who have surrendered to the world, the flesh, and the devil. When Satan enters his house (the souls of those in danger of being lost) he doesn't meet resistance. He's comfortable in his home. This is why you see people living thoroughly debauched lives and appear comfortable with their morally bankrupt behavior. They belong to Satan. It's that simple.
So how do you fight Satan? Pray the Rosary, and make generous use of the Sacraments. God gave us the Sacraments. Throw in some fasting when you're being harassed by demons. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive your enemies. Practically every diocese has a soup kitchen.
Most important. Thank God for His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. She is Our Holy Mother the Church. She is your mother.

So *BECAUSE* priests are raping kids, that’s evidence that Catholics are right?
If the priests weren’t raping kids, THEN they’d have a problem because the devil stopped caring?
That’s about the level of argumentation I’d expect from a Catholic. Bad things for them are actually just bad things for Protestants.
ETA: Geez this argument is so bad

Catholic: “Not enough kid rape.”

Also, and equally or perhaps superior to Lepanto was Charles Martel and his victory the Battle of Tours. It allowed Europe to establish Christian kingdoms coming out of the Dark Ages.

We could accuse Jesus of doing that also....casting pearls before swine. Maybe by my posting someone will be curious about the Catholic Church and inquire. God took a great risk when He became man. Inevitably truth triumphs. As a cradle Catholic, and as I enter the winter of my life, I can say without reservation, that NOTHING that my Holy Catholic Church has taught me has brought me sorrow. Rather it has brought me Peace and Joy. As long as I kept my eyes focused on Jesus Christ Crucified, I felt peace. The problem for me was when I took my eyes off Him and chased after mammon. Unbridled materialism is a threat to the world, ecologically and spiritually.

Yes, the argument is more on the line that Catholics appear less moral than Protestants because of more frequent attacks by Satan. But if you read Romans, part of being a Christian is having the freedom to resist evil. The logical implication being that nonChristians are unable to resist evil without the help of Common Grace.
But if the Protestants were godless, it wouldn’t matter if there were fewer attacks by Satan, they would appear degenerate because they would be slaves to sin, as it states in Romans.
Resisting evil and following God’s commands cannot be evidence of godlessness. Evil, however, IS evidence of godlessness.
Oh, and I’m editing to add that there are Protestant denominations who do appear degenerate and bear this out, because there are Protestant denominations that are godless.

I think most Catholics reject this pope. Also as he pushes modern cultural issues, he is rejected because they do not align with Catholic values and traditions. So yeah….

What a biased and ill-informed opinion.
Had Europeans not thrown off the shackles of the Catholic church, we might still be ruled by that shadow government in Rome that gave us indulgences that sent thousands to hell and torture and execution for thousands more at the hands of what was supposed to represent Christ on earth.

I think the opposite argument can also very easily be made. The Catholic Church has been so filled with fraud, deception, & corruption throughout much of its history. It would be fairly simple to argue that the only way that’s possible is that the whole organization is evil at its core, allowing for the centuries full of sin & scandals that Protestant denominations have been protected from.
