purchasing/supply is a huge step down from sales

Tell that to the cheesy arse sales people always calling and begging to get in the door to see our purchasing people.

I agree, some sales people are very good and do well, but don't make silly general assumptions like that.

A male being hired in a plant office job is such an anomaly that you can't plan for it.

There are plenty men at my plant that have office jobs. Our buyers are female but the procurement manager/contracts positions are male.

By the way, I work in project controls and I'm male in an office jobs. From what I've seen at other plants, office jobs are mixed male and female.

Our buyer positions don't make a lot of money but the procurement and contract people do. Our buyers are used more for creating purchase orders in SAP and lower level tasks from what I've seen. I'm sure every plant is a little different.

sales is trash, almost zero intellectual ability, mostly conning, pandering, misleading people. People with a conscience can't do it long.

That's a retarded thing to say. Selling bullshite on infomercials, yes, selling products that actually help companies save money, nah

Outside sales in the industrial world? Multiple houses, more money than most ceo's, relationships and trust with your customers.

Don't ever respond to kujo. He was donated an extra chromosome upon birth. It's best to ignore his ignorance on subjects.

They seem to hire a few good looking young girls to put in business development. And they always have them at their setups at the golf tournaments.

Just a few months ago rando was put on the super fast track to being the CEO of where he works now but since then he has made numerous threads about job hopping but one of them was just a ploy to get the attention of where he works now because his boss posts here and it worked! He will now also be CFO, VP, the head of HR, etc. because he's too valuable to lose.

Stout, it actually became clear with the new governor that our business model is not viable as long as he's in office.

Thankfully, I have the financial freedom to step away. Most of our office does not.

Alas, you can keep trying to rile me up, but the time would be better spent on self improvement.
