The amount of southern men these days that brag about not cutting their own grass astonishes me. I ain’t saying you have to enjoy it or even do it. But to brag about not doing it says something about our generations

Tell that to every lawn care company ever, everywhere.

They all know it but have to work around it, they also generally have the equipment to ameliorate the problems.

They tend to keep their blades sharper than the average homeowner and choose blades with the proper lift to create high clipping speeds so they can't clump. They also don't usually have downward facing guards that most homeowners have that promote clumping.

Their mowers tend to have high blade speeds, and along with the sharper blades, allow them to cut the damp/wet grass well. Further they tend to have more power per cut inch to prevent bogging in heavy wet grass.

Absolutely right, it's a serious electrocution hazard.

Because I wake up and get shite done, I instill that same concept onto the children. Make your bed, do your chores, then relax without having a 7 pm mow looming over you all day when that's time to be having drinks.

The thought of waiting until the last minute of the day to cut the grass makes my skin crawl.

You like to instill into your offspring the virtues of hurrying up and get your chores done so you can start drinking as early as possible?

Cutting low with a reel mower and dew on the ground is the most satisfying way to cut.

Uh, no. I didn't say I start drinking when their chores are done. Are you fricking retarded? I don't expect a response, much less you admitting that was REALLY retarded to say. Good lord.

The oil doesn’t make the grass stick all over the bottom of the deck?

No. Actually clean as a whistle.

The reasoning for that is because grass would normally clump . It won’t happen if you do that.

No. I don’t do it, because it makes treads in the grass and it looks like shite. Has zero to do with clumping.
