Tinnitus sufferers have you used the mynoise website before?

LINK
the site is really cool; its free and the dude literally goes all over the world to find authentic sounds of say 'turkish coffeeshop' or some shite.
you have 5-6 different controls for each sound you can play with (turn up background crowd chatter in coffeeshop, turn up sound of dishes clanking and espresso machines..etc)
anyway, the link above is the 'neural modulation' for tinnitus sufferers (he has several) and after about an hour listening with noise-cancelling headphones on i've found the ringing in my ears to be almost gone now. i'm sure this is just a temporary fix but i'm telling you if you suffer from persistent ringing in your ears, even a brief hiatus is magical.
anyway, ymmv, but its a pretty cool site anyway. great if you're in an open office and need to concentrate.

I have a form of tinnitus myself, but I’ve always been confused as to how it’s pronounced.. Ive heard a lot of people say ‘TIN-uh-tuss’.. but I’ve heard an equal amount of people say ‘tin-NIE-tuss’... which is it?

Holy shite! It completely knocked outmy tinnitus! I don't know how long it will last, but even 5 seconds without it is a major relief. Thanks!!

I have it in my left ear, I'm going to try it out.

From his post:
Definitely doing this.

So if you want to hear better, start supplementing with Taurine. I suggest 2g split to start. It is dose dependent, but do not exceed 4g or so.

I am glad it worked for you. Sadly neural modulation did not work for me. My tinnitus started from a brain tumor which took my hearing in left ear and left me with tinnitus.

so you're saying taking 2-3 1000mg (=1-3g) pills a day would achieve that? i'm going to give it a shot.
eta and some bottles refer to it as l-tuarine and some just taurine but it appears to be the same thing.
