thats a pinched nerve, something is out of joint in your neck most likely or maybe your back, the numbness is the pinched nerve losing circulation and not getting enough blood flow

Sounds to me like you have a nerve getting pinched by a disk in your neck or upper back. I would take some kind of anti-inflammatory med for a bit to see if it improves. If it does not, I would either see a chiropractor or just go ahead to a doctor depending on how I felt.

Welcome to Old Mannery.

Better get yourself a lighted magnifying mirror and a good set of tweezers for daily ear & nose hair patrol.

My Advice:
Fight it, like Churchill said about how the Brits would defend England.

Could be the nerve that passes under your collar bone. Follow the underside of your collar bone from your sternum toward your shoulder massaging as you go. I have this problem and often feels like pain under my shoulder blade. Miserable.

Man this seems like what I had a few years ago. Woke up one morning with pain in my neck/shoulder mostly my rear trap. At first it just felt like I slept wrong and didn’t think anything over but pain just kept getting worse. The next morning my arm started to get numb. It was miserable for about a week. The pain subsided but I was weak on that side for months.

if not AIDS, probably a pinched nerve in your neck.

I had the same thing about 5 years ago. Had a herniated disc C5-C6. Went to therapy for a while but ended up having to get a fusion. Felt better immediately after the surgery but I still have numbness in 4 of the fingers on my left hand 5 years later.
