Starts hurting then just goes numb again and tingles.

Been going on a few days. Is this a pinched nerve? Absolutely fricking miserable. Got the wife to massage it and I took a hot back and iced it, still no improvement. I’m young and in decent shape, hoping it’s not tendinitis from golf.

Anyone had this? What did you do?

Amputating shoulder blade is just too much of a hassle

Potential muscle strain or a nerve issue.

If it's tingling/numb then something is affecting a nerve or two. Could be a disc bulge. Could just be a muscle strain. Give it some more rest.

If it continues, go see and orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon. Get an MRI

Give porn a rest for a few weeks while it heals up. Happens all the time.

The muscles in the trapezoid area are weird and crisscross each other and lots of nerves. There’s a lot of opportunity for pinched nerves.

Try holding a sturdy door frame just above your head and leaning back. Let your weight stretch the muscles as much as possible. Take deep breaths in through nose and slowly exhale every bit of it through your mouth as you feel the stretch.

You migh also see a chiro for an adjustment.

Also...holding your phone a lot with your left hand and craning your neck will cause problems in that area.

Did almost the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. My entire underarm went numb for over a week. Three trips to the chiropractor and things are improving. Pinched nerves suck.
