Anyone have this? If so, what do you use to treat it? Dr. has tried a couple different Rx but this shite just won't go away. Only time it went away was when I didn't live in Louisiana.

If your diagnosis is correct, can try over the counter Lamisil spray or Selsun Blue shampoo

It takes a long time to get rid of, used Selsun Blue shampoo and salicylic acid bar soap for about 6 months.

Ketoconazole, the generic form of Nizoral, works the best. It won't cure it forever but it will knock it out for about a year. My doc prescribes it once a year...you only take the pills for about 1-2 weeks and that's it. It magically disappears for about 10-12 months and then you repeat. It's worked as described for years. good luck!

This is my first post but had to give some info. I get this every summer cutting grass and use over the counter athletes foot cream which is an anti-fungal and it goes away for the summer after applying it a few times.

Ketoconazole

This. I've had TV since I was in college. I used to take the pills but my derm said it's supposedly hell on your liver, so now they give me this ketoconazole shampoo. I use it probably every 2 weeks or so and it has literally kept it away for years now.

Don't let it just go. It eventually destroys the melanin in your skin and you'll literally tan around it to make it pretty grossly noticeable.
