Has anyone here ever lived near the time zone line and had to work in one time zone and live in another one? It seems like it would be a pain to live near a time change line, anyway, maybe I’m wrong.

You get used to it. The harder part for me was when I was staying near the line and my phone switched to an eastern time zone tower even though we were in central time zone.

It would do it sporadically and since it was my alarm clock I either woke up on time or an hour early.

Most of the time it was an hour early.

You get used to it. Wasn't that big of a problem once I learned how to make my phone stick to one timezone all the time, so I'm not wondering if it was showing EST or CST.

Have to wear a watch set to each zone on opposite wrist.

Time zones and trucking can be fun, especially in states that are split in half by them.

I was doing some work in KY and was running late for an appointment. I crossed the time zone and ended up being 30 minutes early

I dislike being at the eastern edge of a time zone because it gets dark so early.

Sunset tonight
Orange Beach 7:56
Shreveport 8:26
Lubbock 9:02

All in the same time zone.

I’ve thought about this before how Louisiana and East Texas are about at far away as you can get from another time zone. We don’t ever have to deal with it.

The worst I’ve ever seen was around Page, Arizona. That was confusing AF. I’m not even sure the hotel front desk workers knew what time it actually was

At least we're not like India, who to make the whole country 1 time zone (smart) is :30 off from everyone else (dumb).

When I worked in the Permian basin I was on the New Mexico and Texas Border

Worked in Texas but did my shopping in Hobbs, NM so my phone would always change back and forth.

I prefer mountain or central. In eastern everything starts too late and in pacific it starts too early.

Yep, I lived in eastern for about 10 years and didn’t care for it especially when it came to sports, I’m back in central now, much better.

I'm sure that I could get used to any of them eventually, but I've only lived in eastern outside of central and only for a year.

Eastern and pacific are the extremes. I think central or mountain are the sweet spot.

My employer is on eastern time while I work remotely in central time. I just leave my computer on eastern time and go by their time schedules. When I get off in the evening I feel like I gained an hour.

Time, like gender, is only a social construct. Make it whatever time you want.
